Students who would like to receive college credit from their own institutions should see the Department Chair and ask to have the credit from the school abroad approved. If the Department Chair approves the credit, then the student should supply Spanish Works, Inc. with the name and address of the Registrar of his/her institution and the number of credits he/she was promised by his/her university. The student should include his student I.D. number as well.

The schools in Spain listed on the homepage offer courses for the D.E.L.E. exam and list locations where the exam is administered. The D.E.L.E. (Diploma for Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the only official certificate for foreign students. It is recognized by the renowned Instituto Cervantes and is an invaluable asset for students who wish to study at Spanish Universities or work in a Spanish-speaking country. There are six D.E.L.E. courses offered to prepare students for the exam: A (1,2), (beginner); B (1,2), intermediate; and C (1,2) advanced. The courses are usually four weeks in length. If, however, you just want to take the D.E.L.E. exam, then you can register for it throughout Spain, Latin America and the United States. Another certificate offered in Spain is the Spanish Chamber of Commerce certificate of business which is recognized internationally.
